How did you find almond milk without carageenan and sea salt?
ReplyDeleteEasy. Silk Pure Almond does not have carageenan. Salt content I can't remember off the top of my head. I actually ended up using hemp milk more than the almond. But almond milk is very easy to make yourself if you can't find something you like in your area.
ReplyDeleteMy doctors instructions were to hit the high points of the low iodine diet. He said not to get overly obsessed with it, and to remember that it is a "low" not a "no" iodine diet.
Silk Pure Almond is made with sea salt. A no-no on LID since anything from the sea tends to be high. So no Silk Pure Almond (sea salt), no Almond Breeze (carageenan).

1/2 cup twice a week was not enough of an issue for my doctor to be concerned and gave comfort during a trying enough time and if that's the only thing that was a "cheat" I'm not going to sweat it.
ReplyDeleteI made "chocolate milk" in my blender. 1 banana, 8 Oz cold water, cup of crushed ice, 1 tbs cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1/4 top vanilla. Yummy
